Our client is a growing business based in central Leeds. Specialising in the Beauty Industry they supply and distribute beauty products across the UK and Europe. Due to continue growth they are keen to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of 10 Sales & Marketing Execs.
This a new role within the business, as the business grow the Directors are keen to implement a management structure which frees up the Directors team, drives performance and provides the Sales & Marketing Execs with increased support and mentoring. The emphasis on this role is people management skills, you will not have your own portfolio and wouldn’t directly sell – your success would come from leading the team.
The role of the Sales Exec’s is to develop relationships with Brand Ambassadors, effectively recruiting individuals who will endorse their product. The Sales Manager will lead this team and ensure everyone has clear objectives and is focused on achieving results. The skills required are similar to that of a Recruitment Manager, as such I would very keen to speak to anyone from an agency recruitment background looking for a complete change. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing a structured approach to the teams’ activity
- Daily catch up with individuals to ensure they are meeting their activity targets
- Mentoring and coaching individuals, identifying obstacles and challenges they are facing and working through solutions
- Weekly team meetings
- Provide the team with visibility on their performance
- Undertake monthly and quarterly reviews
- Celebrate success through incentives and rewards.

Flexible on salary, very much dependent on the individual, realistically between £40,000 - £50,000, plus performance related bonus.
